Mausoleum at Halicarnassus

ABOUT MEHMET ÇUHADAR AND THE PRESENTATION:

Mehmet Çuhadar, a graduate of the Archaeology Department at Ankara University Faculty of Languages, History and Geography, has worked at the Konya Archaeological Museum and the Bodrum Museum of Underwater Archaeology, and has also taken part in archaeological excavations in the Bodrum region. Çuhadar, who has written guidebooks on Konya and Cappadocia, has worked for many years as a guide specializing in archaeology and faith tourism tours.

In his work based in Bodrum, Çuhadar focuses particularly on Herodotus, the Carian civilization, and underwater archaeology, and carries out projects aimed at preserving and promoting the region’s rich cultural heritage.

Believing that the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus—one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World—is of great importance for the promotion of Bodrum, Çuhadar plans not only to tell the fascinating story of this lost wonder but also to present various proposals on how the monument can be more effectively promoted using modern technologies
