Our next zoom presentation is on Sunday, September 26 at 9:00 pm.. It will be performed by Linguist Pr. Dr Semiramis Yağcıoğlu. Semiramis hanım will analyze the Iranian director Abbas Kiarostami’s 2010 movie “Copie Conforme” with the participation of Actress Juliette Binoche.
“Copie Conforme” stands out as one of the most innovative works of the Iranian director. The film is about a day spent together by a British writer who attends a reader meeting as a speaker to promote his book, and a woman who goes to listen to him. As the hours progress, a union emerges between the man and the woman, who tours the beautiful Tuscany with the writer she admires, where reality and fiction collide, questioning both the dual relationships and the reality of objects and people.
Juliette Binoche was awarded the Best Actress award at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival for her role in the film.
